On a whim this year, circumstances made it happen, that I was able to build a dedicated Nicolai ION ST Down Hill bike. http://www.nicolai.net Yes it is a given that it will not be used a huge amount, but am sure I will utilise this bike enough. What made me look at the ION ST, was that it was availabel with a 2nd generation GBoxx. http://www.g-boxx.org/

After lengthy discussions with the team at Nicolai, we came to the decision I would wait another 12 months before going with the new GBoxx. I accepted this and appreciated greatly the honest imput from the Nicolai team..

So I ended up running with a standard drivetrain ION ST. This is a newish model for 2008 in the Nicolai lineup. The bike is sex on a stick... Pure butter travel wise and stable at speed...
